I am a general contractor and home builder. I am looking for a young person (18-30years) who is excited to learn the construction industry. I am looking for someone to work side-by-side with me, doing both hands-on work and construction management. As a company, we build and develop properties, frame houses, build decks and fences, do site work with heavy machinery, hang cabinetry, lay tiles, etc. We have basically learned how to do everything, because if ever a sub-contracting crew cannot do something, or doesn’t show up, then we must step in to keep the project moving. I’m looking for someone who has a good attitude about work, is excited about opportunities, and who is willing to learn. If you meet these criteria, do not let a lack of experience stop you from applying for this position. I would prefer to work with someone who I can teach to do things the right way, versus someone who thinks they know it all and will make mistakes throughout the year. I’ve managed to learn how to create a successful small business and am now looking to begin expansion into a small company. This is a rare opportunity to get in at the ground floor of expansion. I will start scheduling interviews next week. Starting pay is between $18-25 per hour depending on your skill sets. Work will begin full-time at the end of March.
