New Leaf is currently looking for a Night Janitorial Supervisor. This is a night position, M-F starting at 6PM until about 2:30AM with a half-hour lunch. (35-40 hours per week) Potential for on-call time depending on need. Prior Management experience is a plus. Applicant must be willing to work with a wide variety of people. Basic computer skills with programs like Microsoft Outlook and Excel is desired. Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: Oversees the the daily workflow of the night janitorial crews. Maintain contract requirements for security of government buildings, contracted spaces, storage rooms and/or areas, company equipment and supplies, including strict adherence to all required government security regulations/policies. Making decisions that affect other people, the financial resources, and/or the image and reputation of the organization. Monitoring/Assessing performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action. Be familiar with and adhere to company's safety and emergency procedures and personnel policies, and be responsible for the safety and health of crew members. Requires making decisions that affect other people, and/or the image and reputation of the organization. Is responsible for the quality of work, outcome and results. Duties of this position include, but are not limited to: Preparing reports on activity, personnel, and information, such as occupancy, hours worked, facility usage, work performed, and departmental expenses. Communicate with staff to resolve performance and personnel problems, and to discuss company policy. Plan and prepare employee work schedules. Instruct staff of work policies and procedures, and the use and maintenance of equipment. Inspect buildings, work performed to ensure that it meets specifications and established standards. Check and maintain equipment to ensure that it is in working order. Perform or assist with cleaning duties as necessary. Physical Requirements and Essential Functions: Ability to endure up to 7 hours a day of standing, walking, and stair-climbing. Must be able to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 lbs. Must be able to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time. Ability to understand and carry out verbal instructions. Must be able to work well with others in a small group or with the entire crew. Must arrive to the worksite on time and when called in, arrive to the worksite within two hours. Must not exceed absences past accrued sick leave. Maintains professionalism in both appearance and demeanor. Must wear safety vests at all times, full-length pants, and closed-toed shoes. Qualifications: Ability to pass NAS Whidbey Background check at time of hire and for duration of employment. Felonies will prohibit base access. Valid Driver's license and clean driving record.
