Apartment community seeking a part-time grounds/maintenance porter to join our exciting team! The Maintenance Porter’s primary focus is maintaining community grounds, common areas, & landscaping to make a positive first impression on customers and residents. Flexible hours may be an option. Job responsibilities include but not limited to: • Maintains all dumpster areas to ensure that trash is properly disposed of and that the surrounding areas are neat and clean • Upholding grounds by removing trash, pet waste, cigarette butts from exterior and common areas • Maintains landscaping and planter boxes by seasonal weed removal • Demonstrates high level customer service skills to interact considerately with residents, personnel, and visitors • Participates in daily inspections and communicate findings to the Community Manager • Regularly inspects for rodents, bees, and other pests and takes action to exterminate them. • Preforms safety and cleaning procedures and helps in moving and transferring the unwanted appliances, furniture, etc., to dumpster or dump depending on situation • Assists in unit turn projects: masking, painting, sanding, housework, etc. • Ability to stay on-call for rotating maintenance emergency line and after-hours emergency maintenance calls • Take direction from management on other special need maintenance requests as needed around property • Maintain a clean & professional appearance
