Troy Girls Basketball Headed For Final State Competition

The Troy Middle School 8th grade Girls Basketball Team will play Alton Middle School on Thursday, December 19 for the IESA 4A State Championship. Two back-to-back victories by the Troy Trojans at State games on December 14 advanced the team to the finals, which will be held at 7:30 p.m. at Macon Meridian High School. The team defeated Minooka Junior High 44-32 on December 11 at the Sectional game, and won over Bolingbrook Humphrey 42-27 on December 5 in the Regional finals. Coach for the team is Serena Cruz, and Assistant Coach is Matt Stortz. Troy Middle School is a Troy Community School District 30-C school.
