Putting the 'c' in Funk

I've been gradually developing a dirty funk project. And it is nearly time to bring it to the people. Think Vulfpeck, Cory Wong, Daft Punk, Nile Rodgers, Michael Jackson, Under the Influence of Giants, 1975. I'm a 32 year old guitar player and singer. The band would also include drums, bass, and keys at minimum. I'm also considering horns and percussion. There are 10 original songs, with maybe a cover or two. The overall goal is to put on a fun memorable show. Lots of theatricality and crowd engagement. But we'll also strive for top notch musicianship. Nothing but joy, showmanship, and funk appreciation. This is not a long term project. I'm not trying to "make it." I've played that game and it is a way of sucking the joy out of me. I plan to play a handful of shows in the summer and then move on to other stuff. If something like this strikes your fancy, I'd love to hear from you.
