The BOLDERBoulder 10K Memorial Day Classic is looking for SEASONAL employees who are friendly, fun, and semi-fanatical fans of the race to perform a variety of duties related to race registration, retail sales, and race logistics. Join our upbeat and energetic race team to help stage the 42nd running of the BOLDERBoulder 10K on Memorial Day, May 30, 2022. All the roles detailed below include official race merchandise, comp race entries, lunches for race week, race weekend and race day. We also offer a pay incentive for work performance ultimately culminating with the completion of the race. We also offer referral bonuses. Onsite Registration Specialists – These PT to FT seasonal positions start mid to late-April and continue through May 30th. Sales experience is helpful but not mandatory. Some schedule flexibility could be considered. Candidates must be available to work some weekends and more than 8 hours per day if necessary. Registration Specialists perform a variety of duties to register participants to run or walk the BOLDERBoulder 10K course. Team members assist with set-up and break-down during transitions between one registration location and another. Additional tasks include sales work, registering race participants, taking inventories, and distributing pre-built race packets. The responsibilities of the job may extend beyond the scope detailed above. These positions pay $13.00 per hour for first year Bolder Boulder hires. Customer Solutions – Seasonal positions start in mid-March and end Race Day, Monday May 30, 2022. Customer Solutions positions are part-time to full-time depending on the workload. The best candidates would have the capacity to work full time Monday through Friday. However, there could be an opportunity to work part time if the candidate’s schedule fits the needs of the department. Please note, even part time employees are expected to work full time + if needed the week before the race, race weekend and Race Day, Monday, Memorial Day, May 30th. The job includes duties related to online registration and hand key entry. There are also ancillary tasks associated with assigning bib numbers, order fulfillment, quality control to ensure proper data entry and communications with participants by phone and email. These positions pay $13.00 per hour for first year Bolder Boulder hires. Logistics- Perform various duties associated with race logistics. These temporary, seasonal logistics positions start the week before the race and continue through race day, Monday, May 30, 2022. A few positions continue a few days post-race. Some days will require working more than 8 hours per day. Race Day, Monday, May 30th starts at 2am and continues for 8 to 12 hours. Candidates must be in good physical condition with no limitations. Some positions require driving with a valid driver license and a good driving record. These positions pay $13.00 per hour for first year Bolder Boulder hires or a day rate of $130 per day depending upon the start/end dates and specific logistics work completed. ALL JOBS – Hours vary depending on the workload at any given time. Candidates must have the ability to work up to full-time as needed. Additionally, the week before the race, including Saturday, could require working more than 40 hours. Sunday, the day before the race, and race day are mandatory and could be longer than 8 hours each day. The minimum age is 18. BOLDERBoulder employees must work on race day.
