New Cascadia Traditional, Gluten Free Bakery - Full & Part time (Evenings)
Bakery packaging position. Shifts start mid-afternoon (usually at 2 pm) and end when the job is done, usually around 10:30, but this will vary.
• This position is at our bread production facility at 2415 SE 10th AVE, Portland OR 97214 (not at our café on Division)
New Cascadia Traditional is a dedicated gluten free bakery. For 15 years we've been using traditional craft baking methods to deliver the highest quality gluten free baked goods to the Portland area. Some of our techniques include: an emphasis on using whole grains, we use natural 'sourdough' starters and long fermentation times to improve flavor.
We are positioning the operation for significant future growth. We are excited about what the future will bring and would like you to consider joining our team.

Both positions involve:
• Slicing and bagging bread
• Sorting baked goods
• Revising invoices
• Comprehensive cleanup, including taking turns at the dish pit
• Maintaining proper food safety guidelines
• This is a physically rigorous job that requires efficiency
• You must have or be able to obtain a current Food Handler's Card
We require staff to be COVID vaccinated and are adhering to CDC and local health authority workplace guidelines.
We are hiring for both a staff and leadership position. Please specify if you would like to be considered for the leadership position.
The Lead/ Supervisor position requires:
• Supervising a small crew of approximately 3-5.
• Maintaining a department staff schedule
• Managing inventory
• Communicating with other departments
