JOLIET, IL — Another 1,683 people have been diagnosed with the coronavirus and 24 more people have died since Friday, according to Will County's Health Department.
The latest data shows 43,587 cases of coronavirus in Will County since March and Will County's death toll has climbed to 591.
Will County's two dozen additional deaths include: one man in his 40s, four men in their 60s, one woman in her 60s, six men in their 70s, three women in their 70s, three men in their 80s, two women in their 80s, two men in their 90s, one woman in her 90s and one woman who was at least 100 years.
According to Will County's death statistics, 73 percent of all coronavirus deaths so far this year involve men and women who are in their 70s and older.
