I’ve been writing/recording my own solo effort under the name Post Descent for awhile and I’m wanting to do something new and different. I’m fairly open to styles/genres. Bass is my primary instrument, but I can play rhythm on guitar with some leads. I’d like to do something that’s rock based, but still going out as far as djent or post-rock. I just want to do something I haven’t done before. I’m not interested in anything thrash or prog metal though. I’ve done that. I just want to broaden my horizons and play something new, and play it live. Some of my major influences are: Thrice, Brand New, The Bronx, Refused, A Day to Remember, Underoath, O’Brother, Drug Church, Russian Circles, Hundredth, The Wonder Years, Brutus, Botch, etc. Take a listen to my solo stuff (on YouTube, Spotify, Apple, etc) to get an idea of how I write.
