Description Position at Boudreau Pipeline Exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing organization! Boudreau Pipeline, named a Top Workplace in the IE for six years straight, is currently looking for an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our Team! POSITION SUMMARY As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing equipment issues in the field. You will work with superintendent and foremen on solving issues on equipment. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Provide service and field support as required by manager or supervisor. Perform repairs with limited department supervision and organize appropriate repair procedures. Manage all onsite installation, repairs, maintenance and test tasks. Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper repair procedures. Build competencies and share skills with other technicians, retain acquired knowledge. Maintain good attendance and punctuality Follow all company’s field procedures and protocols. Work overtime as required. Follow directions as given; follow company policies. Treat co-workers in a courteous and professional manner. Service/repairs. Must possess hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting abilities. Must travel to job sites to repair equipment. Must have basic reading and writing skills as well as strong communication with individuals in and outside the company. Ability to perform electrical or hydraulic diagnostic test. Must be able to work alone and with a team. Must work alternate shifts as required by workload. Other duties as assigned. Work hours: Tuesday-Friday 10:00am-6:30pm, Saturday 6:00am-2:30pm MINIMUM JOB REQUIRMENTS High school diploma or GED. Ability to speak, read and write in English required; Spanish speaking is preferred. Excellent computer software skills including proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word. Construction experience highly desirable, but not required. Must have welding/Fabrication experience 3-5 years' experience being a field mechanic is preferred Ability to troubleshoots, test, repairs, and service Heavy Equipment and trucks Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to changing work schedules Twelfth-grade level math competency. Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
