Sense & Sound LLC Studio Design and Installations We’re hiring! Sense & Sound is a studio design and installation company based in Los Angeles. We design, manufacture, install and calibrate audio based studios for the professional consumer market. Our model is to do so in one day; Studio In A Day. This is achieved through a proprietary system of modular acoustic products and design/installation/calibration workflows. Studio Designer We're seeking a candidate who would grow in to filling the role of the studio designer. The studio designer is a combination of project manager, local rep and studio designer. He is the client's point of contact, their sales rep, their acoustician and studio designer. He manages the client's project and the team implementing it. He closes the sales with the client, and receives the commission on the sale. This is a high responsibility and skill position. Compensation would be salary + commission. We will train you for the roll. You need to have the capacity for it, which we will assess, and the desire for it, which you need to demonstrate. Candidate must be interested in studio design, acoustics, production and audio engineering. Must have a keen eye for visual design and a creative and technical capacity for problem solving. People and leadership skills, and attention to details go without saying (or with saying..). All that being said, you can't start at this position. You must start as a part time studio installer, and learn the studio designer role from there. Studio Installer This position is for a studio installer, part-time with optional growth to full-time. We’re looking for someone with experience in general handyman/contractor type skills relating to installation of objects on walls and ceilings. You will help the studio designer install studios for clients with extreme accuracy. This will include installing panels on walls, clouds on ceilings, dressing panels with fabric covers, placing studio furniture, helping the calibration process and speaker placement, loading in and out, keeping tools organized, keeping work environment clean, and organizing the installation supplies. Requirements Experience drilling into dry-walls, concrete-walls, wood, and related materials Experience with best practices for attachment and modifications to wall structures Attention to detail Ability to lift 50+ lbs Professionalism and strong communication skills working with clients Ability to safely work around expensive equipment in tight spaces Vehicle to get to job sites and retrieve supplies (Truck not a must but is a plus) Compensation Position will start as part-time, paid hourly. Pay will start at $15/h and will progress to $20/h when proficiency is demonstrated. Pay may increase with increased value / responsibilities. If you are suited for the designer role you will transition to that.
