Maintenance Technician - FULL TIME - NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY

We are looking for the right candidate to join our team as a Maintenance Technician. The long-term goal will be to transition to a mobile position, working at the Alpine Meadows Apartments in Gresham, as well as assisting with maintenance at nearby, smaller complexes in the Portland area, with time split between properties as needed. This position is a 5-day a week, full-time position, with some on-call hours. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the physical property. Duties include, but are not limited to; • Perform general maintenance service requests • Continuously inspect community grounds, reporting any issues to the Community Manager • Recognize and address safety issues, and perform necessary repairs and corrective measures • Adhere to move-in schedules and service request deadlines • Maintain order and appearance of shop and storage areas • Perform community grounds clean up • Maintain grounds and maintenance equipment and tools • Ready vacant units for move-in, completing maintenance and repairs to a high standard Qualifications: • 1-2 years of related experience is required • Good communication skills • Good time-management skills • Ability to efficiently prioritize tasks • Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, appliance repairs, and carpentry • Ability to bend, stretch, twist, walk continuously, and access confined spaces • Ability to operate and maintain equipment • Ability to lift or move up to 75 pounds safely • May need to provide own tools Because this position will be mobile, a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation is required.
