Putting together a band – power pop/rock

Guitarist/bassist/songwriter/singer looking for fellow musicians motivated by great melodies and harmonies-I need something to do with all these guitars and amps I bought during the pandemic. Would be great to get together with other songwriters to flesh out material for eventual performances and possible recording. All for fun, no one is going to pay the rent with this project. Another guitarist, bassist, pianist/organist and drummer are the most necessary bits, but horns would be a very welcome addition as well. Influences are all the usual suspects: Beatles/Wilco/Pixies/Big Star/Cheap Trick/Bowie/My Morning Jacket/ etc. Also lots of 60’s & 70’s soul in my mix, more Memphis/Philly than Motown. Which hopefully makes up for too many years in the 80’s listening to haircuts. I just turned 50 and quit booze a couple of years ago, but being around it presents no issue. No need to send me links to your stuff online-I have none to send you in return although I do have cases of these things called “demo tapes”. I’d really rather just meet up for a quick coffee and see if we’re coming from roughly the same place.
