Job Summary: The Handyperson will perform a variety of tasks to repair and maintain houses, offices, or other facilities. Supervisory Responsibilities: • None. Duties/Responsibilities: • Performs a variety of tasks as needed to accomplish client’s request. • Consults with clients to completely understand the job assignment, requirements, and preferences. • Explains approach or process to clients and provides cost estimates. • Maintains inventory of supplies and materials; orders more as needed. • Performs other related duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: • Ability to perform a variety of maintenance or repair tasks. • Ability to communicate clearly with clients. • Ability to correctly and safely use a variety of tools as needed to complete projects. • Basic mathematics skills. • Understanding of basic building practices and procedures. • Understanding of basic systems within buildings, such as electrical or plumbing. Education and Experience: • High school diploma or equivalent highly preferred. • Bonded or insured and licensed, as required by state. Physical Requirements: • Must be able to crawl and work in cramped spaces, climb, bend, stretch, stand, and traverse all areas of the building. • Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions. • Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds at a time.
