Wildflowers will soon be in bloom at Richfield Heritage Preserve. Friends of Richfield Heritage Preserve are sponsoring a guided hike. Spring wildflowers will be in bloom throughout Richfield Heritage Preserve in April and May. To help park visitors enjoy and learn about these woodland beauties, the Friends of Richfield Heritage Preserve are sponsoring a guided hike---to be led by ecologist Jennifer Windus, retired from the Ohio Division of Natural Areas and Preserves---on Saturday, May 14, from 1:00 to 3:30 p.m. Meet before 1:00 p.m. at Waterfront Shelter (located just south of The Lodge)Wear sturdy shoes Dress for the weather.Bring water to drinkJennifer will share information on identifying and protecting our park's native species and discuss their role in the life of RHP. The two-mile round-trip hike will start south of The Lodge and follow the Buckeye Trail through one of the most scenic sections of the park.
