"Moon Over Richfield" highlights the role that Ohio's full moons played in the lives of Native American Indians during each month.
This program will walk you through the year to explore that special relationship between the full moon and Native American Indians. It will help you better understand why they gave each full moon a specific name. If you enjoy looking at the moonlit sky, you will appreciate learning a little history about our full moons and why they were so important to Ohio's earlier inhabitants.Our presenter, Chuck Jakubchak, is a graduate of the Ohio Certified Volunteer Naturalist program and has conducted more than a hundred nature programs throughout Ohio over the past decade. He retired from General Electric in 2013---and he and his wife have resided in Strongsville since 1986.Meet at The Lodge in Richfield Heritage Preserve (4374 Broadview Rd) for this free presentation and afterwards, join us for a guided hike through the park---held rain or shine.
