Let's learn some self defense skills in a supportive environment! Come sharpen your self-defense skills at The Karate Center. Located in Worcester, The Karate Center has been teaching Wado-Ryu Karate for over 20 years. Their focus is on traditional training, core conditioning and self-defense. They are proud to offer small classes and personalized attention for every student, and we are excited to provide this to our members! Many people think that self-defense classes are meant to teach you how to fight, but that's only in the worst case scenario. In reality, self defense actually means doing everything in your power to avoid getting into a fight. That's where The Karate Center comes in. Although combat technique is an important part of our self-defense courses, they also teach a wide array of skills that can help you steer clear of a fight in the first place. Their classes are taught in an extremely supportive environment and training is tailored to help each individual be prepared to encounter an actual assault. In this 2 hour workshop, we will be taught essential and valuable self-defense lessons, followed by practice time with a partner. These workshops are with a small, intimate group to provide a safe space and the best opportunity for learning. This a members-only event. Please only sign up for one class. Note that masks must be worn at this event, regardless of vaccination status, due to the venue's policies. Dress in clothing that allows you to move comfortably and footwear that provides safe traction.
