You were the vegan customer at Starbucks

Description

Ok so, I realize the odds of you reading this are likely one in a million, or even worse odds than that. But here we go. I’m going to give this a try. It was the summer of 2010. I was the 28-year-old female barista working at the Starbucks in West New York, NJ. The one down by the waterfront. You came in one day and you asked if the soy Frappuccino had any dairy in it. I assuredly told you “No, it doesn’t.” You replied hesitantly “Ok….are you sure? Because I’m a vegan.” I said “I’m positive. I’m a vegan too.” You looked impressed or surprised, and our eyes then met for a fraction of a second longer than technically would’ve been appropriate, and you made a move as if you wanted to say something else. Then you changed your mind and didn’t say anything else. I cannot believe that I have been thinking about you ever since then. It’s been almost 12 years, and I curse myself all the time for not talking to you when I had the chance. Not only were you incredibly good-looking, kind, and shy, but the vegan thing just seals the deal. I’m 40 now, successful, established, and single again. On the completely insane, absolutely impossible off-chance that you read this, and you are single and interested too, please reach out. I know you probably don’t remember what I look like, but at least tell me some details about the location so I know it was you. I truly hope to find you. #veganAF #veganfortheanimals #veganforever
