Cement Truck Overturns In Malibu

MALIBU, CA — An overturned cement truck injured one person in Malibu Monday morning. Los Angeles County Fire Department reported at 9:38 a.m. Monday that units were on-scene at Via Taz and Piuma Road, a windy road in the Santa Monica Mountains near the Scheuren Overlook, attempting to extricate one patient from the truck. At 10:16 a.m., County Fire reported that the patient was successfully extricated and was being transported to a local trauma center. Representatives from Los Angeles County Fire were not available for further comment.
