Sanjena Sathian will read and discuss her book Gold Diggers, a Washington Post Top 10 Best Book of 2021 Critically acclaimed author Sanjena Sathian will read from her novel Gold Diggers at this weekend event presented by the Asian American Writers' Workshop and The Amelia Hudson. Gold Diggers, which was named a Top 10 Best Book of 2021 by the Washington Post, and was optioned by television by Mindy Kaling is an original, funny, and deeply moving story about immigration and the American dream. Following her reading, Sathian will be joined in conversation by staff from the Asian American Writers' Workshop, to discuss her novel, writing for television, authentically portraying immigrant lives, and more.
