Rehoming a approximately 1 year old male boxer mix. He is truly a wonderful dog with so much potential! I rescued him about 6 months ago and he is handsome, loving, amazing snuggler, smart, and loyal. He loves all people, dogs and cats. It breaks my heart to have to rehome him but unfortunately he has become too rough with my two small children. He hasn't become aggressive but he has hurt them due to his size and because he gets too rough with them. I have worked with him diligently the past 6 months and instead of getting better he is getting worse. Part of that is because I am unable to give him the exercise he needs to burn his energy and the other part is he gets extremely jealous of my children when they come around me. I take him on walks but he really needs more then I can give him at this point and I am at a loss. It has become unfair to him and to my kids. He would do best with an active family with older or no kids. Someone who likes to take long walks or hikes or has a large yard for him to run in. He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccines. I will be asking a small rehoming fee and will be asking for references and a home visit. I want to make sure where he is going will.be a good fit and I won't let him go to just anyone. He is a good dog and this is already going to be hard enough for him I don't want him to bounce around.
