The mission of this seminar is to teach practical self-defense tips to empower women in NYC street scenarios. The goal of this seminar is to empower AAPI Women & Femmes in the basic of street self defense and cover scenarios that include: Increasing Situational AwarenessControlling Personal SpaceSubway Situational AwarenessBasic self defense strikesHold EscapingPad work and more...We ask that attendees to wear workout training clothes and sneakers. Bring along a bottle of water and towel. Yoga mat for warm-up exercises is optional. This event is 18+. Proof of vaccination will be checked at the door and we ask any one experiencing symptoms to stay home. James Kiang: Since earning his first martial arts instructor rank in 2006 and becoming a certified personal trainer in 2012, James has trained and worked with individuals and groups ranging from adults to children. With his constant and dedicated training he has earned coach/instructor level rankings in different martial arts and disciplines. Tony has been a martial arts instructor for over a decade and has trained under a number of different styles and systems, including Kyusho Jitsu, Jeet Kun Do, Kali, Muay Thai, Sambo and Brazilian Jujitsu. Agent J: Agent J is a federal law enforcement officer with experience protecting the world's top government leaders. In addition to his agency training, he practices Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai and boxing.
