Join EmpowerED Families and BWS Mobile Bookstore with guest speaker Ruby Bailey, Public Engagement Editor of IndyStar! EmpowerED Families and Black Worldschoolers Mobile Bookstore will host our second House Meeting as a part of the Read to L.E.A.D. Campaign on Tuesday, March 15th. The Read to L.E.A.D. Campaign is about bridging literacy with political education. Ms. Ruby Bailey of IndyStar will join us as our guest speaker to discuss reading strategies for working parents and ways to address systemic issues that Black and Latinx parents face everyday. As a Public Engagement Editor, Ms. Bailey will also begin to discuss how parents can write their own opinion editorial.
