Painter/Finishing Tech Compensation: Competitive Wages, D.O.E. Employment Type: Full-time Professional Finishes is a full-service painting and wood coatings company. We specialize in finishes for woodworking, including large scale mass-timber projects to smaller scale projects such as cabinets, interior trim and doors, entry systems, timbers, and other custom home components. We offer both on-site and pre-finish services and we are committed to using sustainable products that are environmentally responsible. We are hiring for the position of Painter/Finishing Tech. The individual who fills this position will receive on the job training to obtain/refine basic prep skills and learn mid range to highest level finishing techniques. Some professional painting experience is preferred. Job Responsibilities: • Work on job-sites and in our pre-finish shops to learn and perform basic prep tasks to mid-range and highest skilled tasks. These tasks include but are not limited to: • Sanding • Masking/unmasking • Product application • Tool loading/unloading/cleaning • Maneuvering and packaging millwork • Assisting in maintaining a clean and professional work area at all times. • Maintaining strict attention to detail. • Working individually or in a group to provide highest level finishes. • Assume responsibility for the quality of work performed. • Assist to train lesser skilled team members as needed, adopting an inclusive leadership style. • Exhibit excellent communication with supervisors and other team members. • Accurately track time worked and materials used on each project. • Share in the company's values of quality, efficiency, safety, hard work and camaraderie. Requirements and Qualifications • 18+ years of age • Ability to interact and communicate in an effective and dependable manner • Hold a valid driver’s license and have reliable personal transportation • Documentation to work in the United States • Capable of lifting and carrying 50+ lbs on a regular basis • Capable of and prepared to maneuver and work from extension ladders • Prepared to work 40+ hours/week Wage will depend on experience and performance.
