We are committed to combating veteran and 1st responder suicide. All funds go to suicide prevention and mental health wellbeing initiatives Beacon Training Group is partnering with Reel Warriors Foundation and the Frankfort VFW-Post 1493 for our 2nd annual Warrior Ruck fundraiser. This memorial event gives participants the opportunity to remember our fallen warriors and give support to those warriors still at home. The Reel Warriors Foundation is a Non-Profit organization comprised of veterans from different branches of service that came together through a love for fishing. As veterans themselves the staff at Reel Warriors understand the stressors and struggles veterans face when transitioning back to civilian life. They provide a support network and the opportunity to unwind and de-stress through offshore fishing trips with other veterans. Reel Warriors has recently expanded and is also providing first responders with the same services and support networks. We believe Reel Warriors is an ideal partner as Beacon Training Group is a veteran and first responder owned small business. The Frankfort VFW has donated countless man hours and monies to local charities which help support veterans and get them back on their feet in times of crisis. The Frankfort VFW brings awareness and prevention strategies to fight veteran suicide, and provides a relaxed atmosphere where veterans, first responders, and civilians can spend time with each other in a stress-free environment. The event will be held on May 28, 2022 at the Frankfort VFW located at 22057 Pfeiffer Rd. Frankfort, IL. 60423. The 20-mile ruck will start at 9:00am and will travel along Old Plank Trail for 10 miles to the turnaround point and will conclude back at the VFW. Multiple check points will be set up along the route where beverages, snacks, and other items will be available to support the participants. An after party will follow the event at the VFW. Live music will be provided by “Cadillac Groove”, as well as food, drinks and jumpy houses for the kids. Please contact us if you need additional information of have any questions.
