Learn from local expert & farmer Dulce Morales on what & how to seed for the spring season during this hands-on workshop at Plant Chicago.
Interested in learning how to start seeding for the spring season? Join us for an interactive, hands-on workshop with local farmer and expert Dulce Morales, of Cedillo's Fresh Produce. Dulce will be leading the group on seeding spinach, onions, and radishes. Participants will also be able to select seeds available at our seed swap happening that day (feel free to bring your own seeds as well!). Materials will be provided, however we do encourage participants to bring their own pots if possible.
Participants can expect to learn how we seed in March, so they can start planting in April and harvesting in May. You'll also learn how to prepare for the fall season.
The workshop available free of charge for Back of the Yards residents. Please email [email protected] for registration.
The workshop is also kid-friendly and Spanish translating is available.
