Description

An Evening with Dr. Crawford Loritts & Rev. Dr. John Yates II on Leading in the Midst of Polarization Leadership is hard under normal circumstances. But for many, leadership over the last two years has felt close to impossible. With tribal narratives setting the terms as well as dictating people’s primary allegiances, most leaders have more questions than answers. Psychologically, what were at one time cracks of uncertainty have now turned into craters of self-doubt. Many who have had aspirations to lead are now having second thoughts. What once appeared to be exhilarating opportunities with the promise of fulfilling service increasingly looks more like entering a war zone—with casualties mounting. How should we think about leadership in such a time? What should current leaders do as they fight fatigue and burnout, while trying to personally survive and steward their organizations amidst growing polarization? How should emerging leaders remain hopeful while soberly preparing for the landmines of leadership that lie ahead? Join us as we explore answers to these daunting questions with Dr. Crawford Loritts, Rev. Dr. John Yates and host Dr. Joshua Chatraw. This event will take place in-person in the Holy Trinity Anglican Church's sanctuary. Learn more about the event and read the speakers' bios at centerforpublicchristianity.org/now-what-leadership
