Her new short film, Gay Haircut, premieres at South by Southwest Film Festival in March 2022. This David Roth is not the lead singer of Van Halen and his middle name isn't Lee. He's a Brooklyn-based stand-up comedian who has performed in dozens of festivals like Outside Lands and SF Sketchfest, despite his father's wishes. David has also written two Super Bowl commercials and his joke writing book for kids - LOL 101 - is set for a spring 2023 release with Chronicle Books. ​ Opening talent: Helen Chu is a San Francisco-based comedian. Her first stage experience came from winning her High School mathelete competition. Now she formulates great jokes that equal big laughs at Cobb’s Comedy Club, Tommy T’s and major clubs in the Bay Area.
