Description

Fully engage in the healing powers of nature! “The forest is the healer; the practice opens the door” Join us as we open the doors of our senses and fully engage in the healing powers of nature. We will be bringing our bodies and minds into a relaxed and quiet state, where we are fully aware of where we are and what we are experiencing in the present moment. You will be introduced to ecotherapy, a way to alleviate and heal the symptoms of depression, anxiety, trauma, and stress. Give yourself over to be in inquiry about what it means to be a part of the web of connection with all living things. This will be a 2 hour session of slowing down, focusing on the senses, and communication with others and land. We will be out on the trail engaging these elements! Meet your trail guides: Shikha Patel is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, trauma therapist and founder of Collaborative InSights. She provides ecotherapy as a tool for mindful recovery of trauma and mental health challenges. Rachael Vonne is a Certified Intuitive Energy Healer and Embodiment Teacher. She is the creator of Wild At Heart Healing where she supports her students/clients in staying in harmony with their body as they live in alignment with their truths. Please arrive 15 minutes early for some peaceful transition to grounding and meeting others. We will meet at the Reedy Creek Nature Center. Please bring a water bottle and wear closed toed walking shoes. Will will reschedule this event if the weather and trails are too wet but plan to continue if there is a light drizzle. Land Acknowledgment: We acknowledge that we are meeting on the Indigenous lands of Turtle Island, the ancestral name for what is now called North America. Furthermore, we acknowledge the American Indian and Indigenous Peoples who have been on or become part of these lands and territories in North Carolina.
