Venue Smart is a rapidly growing, well established, and reputable event cleaning company. We are looking for an Area Operations Manager to join our team in Austin. We currently service Circuit of The Americas (COTA) and Moody Amphitheatre in the Austin area. But we also work other events in Texas and all over the country. VenueSmart works events such as the NFL Draft, PGA tournaments, Music Festivals, Fairs and more. What we do is manage and maintain the cleanliness of these venues, which ranges from pre-clean, working during events and post-clean. As well as daily upkeep of offices, restrooms, the entire venue grounds and provide maintenance and facilities support. The ideal candidate will be a hard worker with a positive attitude. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - Looking for someone reliable and responsible to insure event implementation from start to finish is ran smoothly - Strong communication skills is a must -Supervise and lead staff to insure tasks are completed and staff is working efficiently: - Lead by example, this in many situations is a working leader position. Leaders regularly have to work with and alongside staff. - Assist with staffing plans for all events; Races, sporting events, concerts, hospitality events etc. -Help with setting up temporary labor for events - Manage staff check in and sign out for events - Help with inventory management of all supplies, equipment, uniforms etc. - Help with vehicle/equipment maintenance. Including trucks, trailers, golf carts, vacuums, small engines and hand tools. A maintenance background is a plus but not required - Assist with budget planning for events - Logistical support for events outside of Austin REQUIREMENTS · Must provide valid proof of working in the US · Must be able to carry/lift 30-50 pounds - Must have reliable transportation to work · MUST have open availability for weekends (Th, Fri, Sat, Sun) - MUST be able to work late nights sometimes till 2-3am · Must be able to stand / be on your feet long periods at a time Required Education or Experience: - Event cleaning experience is a plus - Janitorial experience is a plus -Experience with leading temporary labor is a plus Other Duties: Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee of this job.
