May's IN THE FIELD outing takes us to Garden Bar Preserve for a guided birding adventure. For May's IN THE FIELD event, we are joined by special guests and local ornithologists Allison Nelson and Ted Beedy who will take you on a birding adventure at Garden Bar Preserve along the Bear River. Not normally open to the public, Garden Bar Preserve hosts up to fifty-seven bird species that might be observed during the spring. Seven bird species observed at the Garden Bar Preserve are of particular conservation concern, which underscores the importance of the habitats that the Preserve provides. **BYLT Members: Click promo in the check out and enter MEMBER to unlock $5 discount. ABOUT GARDEN BAR PRESERVE:This 652-acre working cattle ranch located in the Southern reaches of Nevada County includes blue oak woodlands, grasslands, over two miles of Bear River frontage and two miles of interior creeks.
