Although the mountains of NC will always be home, she has lived in the mountains of Colorado outside of Vail for the past 15 years with her husband and now two little kiddos. Inspired by mountain life, Elise designs for her brand, Vela Apparel, creating nature inspired designs that adorn clothing, house wares, and gifts. The hat painting class has become a signature event that Elise brings all over the country to show everyone their ability to find new creativity in wearable art. This style of creating is what inspired many of the designs for Vela Apparel.
