Celebrate Independent Bookstore Day and get your photo taken with Esteban the Magnificent Pea Green Crayon! Celebrate Independent Bookstore Day and get your photo taken with Esteban the Magnificent Pea Green Crayon, based on the beloved picture book The Day the Crayons Came Home by Drew Daywalt and Oliver Jeffers. Esteban will be available for photos from 11:00am-11:30am, 12:00pm-12:30pm, and 1:00pm-1:30pm outside in our back parking lot. Attendees should bring their own camera. Below, please read the guidelines for this photo opportunity and pick which available time slot works best for you and your family. Along with this fun photo opportunity, there will also be a performance by our favorite ukulele group, The Unlikely Strummers, from 11-12! Stop in and order lunch from our café and shop the bookstore for free giveaways and exclusive Independent Bookstore Day merch. Don't forget to purchase a copy of The Day the Crayons Came Home or The Day the Crayons Quit for your child's bookshelf!  Guidelines: 1. Please register all members of your party for the photo opportunity, even if only one child will be in the photo.  2. In order to limit contact, our bookstore staff will not be taking photos on attendee's devices.  Please have a designated person from your party available to take the photo on their own device.  3. Esteban and The Unlikely Strummers will be stationed in our back parking lot, which will be closed for parking from 10:00am-1:30pm. Customers should park in the overflow lot across the street from the bookstore.  4. If it rains, the photo opportunity and ukulele performance will take place on the Second Story above the bookstore. Masks will be required to be worn by all attendees in this case.
