CAMPBELL, CA — Amid uncertainty over if and when South Bay students will return to physical classrooms in the upcoming academic year, a South Bay school district has moved to narrow the digital divide at a crucial time for many. The Campbell Union High School District has moved to make sure all of its students are properly equipped for distance learning by the time the upcoming academic year starts, The San Jose Mercury News reports. All of the district's 8,000 students will have received a Google Chromebook, the report said. The district has already delivered nearly a thousand Chromebooks and wireless hotspots for students who lack adequate internet access, according to the report. "It took a lot of creativity and a lot of hard work to get this all on board," District Communications Coordinator Sarah Foy told The Mercury News. "They've thought of really creative solutions to get this off and running for next year."
