Join us as we bring awareness to Frederick Health’s Disease Management Programs with a focus on Diabetes Prevention. Frederick Health is excited to share this wonderful opportunity with our community partners, patients of the Diabetes Prevention Program, and employees to help implement a full menu of wrap-around services, culturally responsive engagement, social service navigation, and complementary medical services to increase recruitment and retention in the National Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) and Diabetes Self-Management Training (DSMT). This special event will take place on the grounds of Frederick Municipal Airport, including a 5K race (3.1 miles) on runways and taxiways, culminating at the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) hanger. A 1-mile Fun Run will also take place following the 5K. The event will end at the AOPA with a runner medal presentation. On-site check-in for the event will take place from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. with the race beginning promptly at 9:00 a.m. Frederick Health will have several tables set up before and during the event which will be provided to help educate those in attendance on Frederick Health’s Disease Management Programs, specifically Diabetes Prevention.
