THE POSITION: We're a small successful local Landscape + Design Company Looking to partner with an independent Installation Team for the 2022 season! We are looking to subcontract a % of our installations to the right independent landscape team (as your own insured company) this season. We'll provide upscale clients + projects (your choice to accept) and you provide excellent project/biz management and labor to complete the installation for each unique project. Check us out here: www.RebeccasGardensBoulder.com ABOUT YOU: You are a small successful local Landscape Installation Team with a Foreman or Project Manager • Your Team is 2-3 regular laborers / no more than 4-5, for backups • Work with us roughly 3/4-time to Full-Time for a FULL SEASON now thru winter onset (Mar-Nov) • You must have solid experience. You must be good at what you do and have pictures/references to showcase. • Ideally, you've already been successful at running your team for at least 2-5 yrs in this area. • We'll give you above average projects + opportunity to grow or to hone your related industry skills/interests + a positive attitude • You'll give us excellent reliable project management of installations as an independent sub-contracted biz + a positive attitude • Qs for You: What are your goals for this new season? CALL OR EMAIL NOW -- NO TEXTS PLEASE --THANK YOU WE LOOK FORWARD TO MEETING YOU-- GENERAL SKILLS — WE WANT TO SEE THIS IN YOU + YOUR TEAM: 1) BIZ/TEAM LEAD (Essential Project + Biz Management Skills) - 1 Lead, you may also be a laborer and play both roles 2) SKILLED LABOR (Essential Landscape Skills) -- 2-3 regular reliable skilled laborers (with one or two for backup as needed) 1) BIZ / TEAM LEAD (Project Manager aka Foreman / Team Lead) -- You will meet with our designer on each project site to talk about the design and functional implementation for each project. We share ideas or best practices and will then choose the best plan of action for you to install. — You will provide an estimate/bid to us (time/labor/materials) for each project (flat rate only rarely) — For all bids accepted by each client, you will…. -- Manage your labor/materials expenses within the projected budget — Manage your schedule (working around multiple/shifting project schedules, or other build contractors, inclement weather, vacations, etc) -- Manage your labor team (they must be self-motivated, self-directed, have excellent experience, be highly skilled, efficient, and problem solving, with a positive attitude). Manage their time, schedule, and know-how. -- Per Project, you will Manage: vendor material deliveries, necessary tools or small machines (if you have them or can use them such as Skidster, MiniEx, etc) for each project, understand general industry materials costs, keep receipts, communicate with designer on in-the-moment for changes to any plans, such as delivery or labor schedule, material choices or other options or factors as they come up. • Test run: If we hire you for the first install, then if the collab fits, we can share a successful rest of the season. 2) SKILLED LABOR TEAM MATES (Essential Landscape Skills) SOFTSCAPE • Plantings (trees, shrubs of all sizes, flowers, groundcover) • Trimming shrubs/grasses/raking leaves • Soil • Compost / Soil Amendments • Mulch • Spring/Fall clean up (excess debris) • Dump runs for excess organic debris removal HARDSCAPE • Edging + stakes • Weedmat + pins • Gravel / Breeze • Decorative Boulders • Loose Flagstone • Cobblestone (loose area fill) • Stonework/Masonry? (optional) such as walkways, patios, stepping paths, pavers, drystack retaining walls, veneers DRIP IRRIGATION • Basic knowledge of the function and how to lay or to find drip lines is essential • Installation or fixing of basic drip lines is ideal • More? LAWN (any experience is welcome, but not necessary as we do not focus on Lawn-- however if you provide it, we may include a service or refer you) • Lawn maintenance • Lawn installation (sod or seed) • Irrigation solutions • Fertilization / Amendments • Aeration EXCAVATION • Earth moving (for grading large areas, building berms, laying steps, etc) • Machine experience: eg. Skidster/Bobcat, Mini Excavator, Forklift, accessories • Trailers, Dump Trailer, Flatbed SKILLED CRAFT OR TEACHING • Permaculture, Growing, or Farming experience • Ecology or other Environmental areas of education or work • Educating/teaching/training experience or leadership • Outdoor group trainings, travel, or educational trips • Woodworking • Metalwork/Welding (or laser cutting) • Ceramics • Painting • Building / Custom pieces • Tech or Science savvy of any sort • Research in any related field
