Our program is currently searching for a Black Belt level instructor to move up in the ranks of an energetic and quick-paced Tang Soo Do school. Compensation: Competitive compensation dependent on experience and qualifications. Responsibilities: -Instruct Martial Arts Classes Supervise all activities to ensure the health, safety and well-being of program participants. - Teach in an engaging, creative and responsive manner in alignment with company standards. -Develop and implement lesson plans of activities and themes that will support the development of martial arts skills and leadership development. -Build positive relationships with youth and adults and serve as a leader with respect to demeanor, communication and overall attitude. -Actively participate in staff training sessions, designated meetings and internal and external special events. Qualifications: - Minimum of 2 years of training equivalent to a black belt in tae kwon do or Tang Soo Do -Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple priorities, people and projects effectively. -Demonstrated skills and competency as an instructor. The ideal candidate is reliable, enthusiastic, motivated, hard-working and friendly. They will excel in the following areas: 1. Communication: The candidate will have the ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of people including youth, teachers, school administrations, parents, other staff and the general public. They will be able to work as part of a team with the school and member community. 2. Flexibility: The candidate will be comfortable adapting to changing circumstances. They will have a "whatever it takes" attitude toward their role and duties in the company. They will be able to work with students of various age, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Requirements: -Must be available evenings and weekdays to be considered for this job. -Must be able to pass a background check. -2yrs experience teaching in the areas of kicking, punching, and blocking.
