PRINCETON, NJ — On Tuesday, Princeton announced it was currently accepting applications for employee parking in the Westminster Choir College parking lot. The application is for business owners in the Municipality. There are 193 parking spaces available which will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis, the Municipality said. A monthly fee of $30 per permit, payable quarterly is applicable. Business owners can apply for up to 10 permits for their employees. The fee can be paid online. Permit holders can park in the lot between 6 a.m. and 2 a.m. No parking is allowed between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. During a meeting held on March 1, Princeton's Permit Parking Task Force dropped its idea to have limited paid employee parking in the Murray Place-Princeton Avenue area. The proposal is to implement the parking plan in the Witherspoon Jackson and Tree Streets first as a pilot program. The pilot program will provide regulated on-street employee parking in Witherspoon Jackson and Tree Streets, at underused on-street meters, and at the Westminster and MacLean Street lot. The pilot program will give the Municipality an idea of how much employee parking is needed, officials said.
