Santa Cruz Shakespeare (SCS) seeks assistant stage managers for the 2022 summer season. The ASM assists the Stage Manager with show prep, rehearsals, and performances. Responsibilities include: attending production meetings, running rehearsals, clerical organization, and ensuring the smooth execution of the performances. The ASM will also have repertory (changeover) responsibilities. The ASM is a crucial part of the production team and should set an example in punctuality and professionalism. It is important that the ASM is flexible and will take initiative. Excellent communication and organizational skills are required. A Bachelor's degree and at least one year of professional experience in the stage management field is required. The ASM salary is $485 per week (with a pay bump for tech week) and housing will be provided. SCS produces 3 mainstage shows in repertory; each show has its own stage management team.
