I am unfortunately putting Texie up for rehoming. She is a beautiful Gray and White Maine Coon mix who needs to be in a home that is quiet, and NO other pets. We have multiple cats in our house along with three children under 10. She loves our 6 year old son, and does fine with our older girls, but she would be best suited in a home with adults only. The main reason we are putting her up for rehoming is because she is miserable with the other cats. We got her as a kitten in 2018, and she has always had a bit of a sassy attitude, but as we got a couple more cats she has increasingly become more irritable, and her disposition has changed. When the other cats are outside, and it is just her getting all of the attention, she is the sweetest most loving and snuggly cat you could ask for. She lets you know when she is finished being pet and snuggled by meowing in an annoyed tone and then jumps down. She LOVES running water! If a sink is on she will coming running and meow until you turn the pressure down for her to swat or take a sip. Texie truly is a beautiful and sweet cat, but she needs a home that is calm, and where she can have no competition for attention. She also loves to sun bathe outside, and climb. If she has a perch that is tall she will be in cat heaven. At night, get ready to be smothered as she makes her presence known by purring as loudly as possible and by making biscuits on your blanket. Texie truly is a remarkable cat with some great character traits, but our home is unfortunately not a good fit for her. It has taken us a long time to admit this, but I truly believe she would thrive in a less chaotic environment. Please, if you feel you are the right fit for her reach out to me.
