Taste Of Joliet Lineup: Park District Makes Announcement

JOLIET, IL — One month after the Joliet Patch broke the news, revealing the Taste of Joliet Friday night music lineup, the Joliet Park District confirmed that Sugar Ray, Collective Soul and Ann Wilson of Heart will be the three main headliners. On Tuesday morning, the Joliet Park District posted information about Sugar Ray, Collective Soul and Ann Wilson on its Facebook page. The Joliet Park District did not issue a news release about the music acts. Back on Feb. 18, Joliet Patch reported that the entertainment section for the Taste of Joliet website listed Sugar Ray as performing at 6:45 p.m., Collective Soul at 8 p.m. and Ann Wilson of Heart at 9:30 p.m. as the headlining acts for Friday, June 24. When Joliet Patch reached out to park district director Brad Staab that Saturday night for comment in February, he wrote back, "We will make a formal announcement in a few weeks." A few hours later, the Taste of Joliet website listing Sugar Ray, Collective Soul and Ann Wilson as the three main headliners for June 24 was removed. But on Tuesday morning, the Taste of Joliet website was working again, and once again listed Sugar Ray, Collective Soul and Ann Wilson as the June 24 performers.
