PORTLAND, OR — The Rose Quarter, which operates The Moda Center and Veterans Memorial Coliseum, is lifting masking and vaccine requirements for both venues. The new rules go into effect on Saturday, March 12. The announcement coincides with the statewide lifting of requirements by Governor Brown. People who are immunocompromised and at high risk are urged to continue with the wearing of masks. The Oregon Health Authority says that while mandates are being lifted, people are still encouraged to wear masks when out and about, particularly while attending large, indoor events. In keeping with that, the Rose Quarter says that they "strongly recommends our guests be vaccinated, stay up to date on boosters, and evaluate their own health situation prior to attending an event on campus.
