SUN VALLEY, CA — An overturned big rig blocked traffic on the Golden State (5) Freeway in Sun Valley for hours Wednesday morning heading into the rush hour. The wreckage from the overturned big rig blocked three southbound lanes of traffic for several hours, according to the California Highway Patrol. The crash occurred at about 2:20 a.m. near Glenoaks Boulevard. The trailers detached from the cab when the semi overturned, prompting the closure of the carpool and Nos. 1 and 2 lanes of the freeway until about 7 a.m., the CHP said. No injuries were reported.
