Culver City Crossroads March 7, 2022 Memorial services for longtime Culver City High School football coach and former Centaur quarterback Greg Goodyear have been set for 6 p.m. on Friday, March 18 at Jerry Chabola Stadium on the the CCHS campus. Goodyear, who died last year ago after a long battle with prostate cancer. played quarterback for the Centaurs in the late 1960s, throwing for 3,323 yards in his three-year varsity career. No one was more dedicated to the football program than Coach Goodyear, and he often worked hard to connect college coaches with CCHS players so that they could continue their football careers at the next level. The original date for the memorial service was moved because of weather issues. Services are open to the public.
