Description
Press release from the City of Fargo: 03/07/2022 March 9 is Registered Dietitian Nutritionist Day. Fargo Cass Public Health has eight registered dietitian nutritionists on staff, who are dedicated to improving the health of their patients, clients and communities. The Fargo Public Library's Seed Library has returned for Spring 2022. If you are new to gardening and don't know where to start, or if you are tired of the same old varieties, stop by the Main or Carlson library to pick up and try some seeds for free. There is a variety of vegetable, herb and flower seeds available while supplies last. The Library is accepting writing and art entries through April 30th for Northern Narratives Jr., its children-only edition of the Library's literature publication. Children in Kindergarten through 6th grade can submit short stories, poetry, comics, nonfiction essays, drawings or photography. The Catch a Leprechaun event for kids is March 17th at the Main Library. Children will make a leprechaun trap, listen to a story and learn about leprechauns and why they are so mischievous. Water Treatment Plant Superintendent Brian Ward has received the Robert O. Vernon Membrane Plant Operator of the Year Award. Only one of these awards is given nationwide each year and is given jointly between the American Water Works Association and the American Membrane Technology Association, two prominent organizations in the drinking water field. Brian was nominated for the award by AE2S, a local engineering consulting firm that has worked with Brian on Fargo Membrane Water Treatment Plant items, especially the reverse osmosis system. We will see videos about the City's snowplow drivers and a recent mural installation at the Fargo Police Department. This press release was produced by the City of Fargo.
