HOOVER, AL — Morgan Road Plaza, a retail center anchored by Publix on South Shades Crest Road, recently sold to a California company for $15.6 million. According to the Birmingham Business Journal, the west coast buyer, MDC Coast 25 LLC, acquired the 12.7-acre property from the seller on Dec. 28. The seller, AL Hoover Crest LLC based in South Carolina, sold the property at 4293 and 4289 South Shades Crest Road, which opened in May 2021 with a 20-year lease.
