Looking for a new (permanent) home. Yuki - 6 year old male Shiba Inu - neutered - Austin, Texas. He came to me after his person passed away, I was his trainer on and off from January 2017 The good: Yuki is a smart, happy-go-lucky, and goofy dude who I’ve been working with on and off since 2017. He loves a flirt pole, playing tug, hand wrestling, car rides, going on adventures. He did 4 months of training with me in 2019 (he washed as a service dog), so he has some basics. He’s potty trained and crate trained. He is enthusiastic and has great food and toy drive. He will just chill with you all day long, but fires up for walks. He is very silly too and my favorite dog to play with tbh. I think he’d thrive with the right person - he’s LITERALY perfect for apartment life. He doesn’t bark or whine (unless he needs to go potty, but he’ll wait over at the door or just STARE 👁👄👁 at you). Loves car rides and is a great buddy. Bad: he has allergies both food and environmental. He takes a daily OTC allergy pill and is on a special food (trying to figure out what exactly he’s allergic to but I’m having trouble getting his vet records) but he’s on blue Buffalo chicken and rice recipe healthy adult formula. The ugly: he is a resource guarder. When I first had him, he showed some mild resource guarding with toys. It stopped after a few weeks I did implement “trades” with him, and he did fine by that. He CANNOT be placed in a home with other animals that he can interact with, and he cannot go to a home with young kids. Rehome fee is $50 which is negotiable for the right home.
