Join the Kokopelli Rafting Adventures Team for a rewarding, exhilarating summer as a whitewater rafting river guide. Northern New Mexico offers breathtaking beauty and a mellow way of life compared to many other top outdoor tourist destinations. We operate in the heart of the Rio Grande del Norte National Monument, a treasure of 270,000 acres of protected public land with endless opportunities for recreation in every direction. *****We have camping spots so you don't have to commute!!************** Our company consistently earns five-star reviews because of the way our employees operate as a united team with the same five-star goals. Three and four-star players don't make the cut. If you know what it means to be a five-star team member, that is a great place to start. We can teach you the technical skills you need to be a stellar raft guide. We pride ourselves on offering the most thorough training available to rookie guides, which exceeds industry and national standards. Our guide school is a full 80 hours and our admission process is selective. The results are consistently trained river leaders who deliver the highest level of safety and performance to our clients. Continuing education and certification opportunities, dreamy desert housing and glamping spots, making friends for life, and small town life make for a great summer and high quality professional guide experience. Our base pay starts at $15/hr and increases with experience and leadership roles. Our guides generally earn an average of $20 - $30 an hour (with tips included). Once the summer starts we require all talent to be on deck for the entire summer. We honor reasonable time-off requests that are planned before the season starts and have fun parties, BBQs, and team events on and off the river. We offer two comprehensive guide school opportunities for select candidates: April 22 through April 29 May 20 through May 27 We offer a spot on the team to those who display pro work ethic and pass their checkout run with flying colors upon completion of guide school.
