Construction Manager | Spring 2022 HEINI Albany, NY About the Company: - Heini construction studio based in Brooklyn, specializing in temporary structures and technical installations for semi-permanent and permanent applications, seeks a construction manager in Albany, New York to supervise the construction of a prefab container home. Job Description & Responsibilities: - We are looking for an experienced Construction Manager located near Albany, New York. - The CM would be expected to travel to the construction site in Berne, NY and perform checks to ensure site safety and maintain schedule. - Would be working under and reporting to an off-site Project Manager. - The project is a prefabricated 1-story residence <2000 sq.ft. Job Skills: - Need to have construction experience: fundamental understanding of residential construction, site work, concrete, utilities, with ability to understand off-grid systems: septic, well, solar. - Added plus - carpentry skills, metalworking skills. - At least 1 year management experience. - Must be located near the Albany area or willing to travel. Project Information: - Location: Berne, NY Preconstruction Phase: March - April 2022. - 1 day per week site visit expected - Approx. 6 visits - Preconstruction site visits, subcontractor meetings, scheduling and coordination Construction Phase: May - June 2022. - 2-3 days every week - Approx. 8 weeks, 24 visits - Subcontractor management, construction oversight, scheduling and coordination - Lodging could be negotiated End: June 2022. - Compensation: $15,000 total for the scope above, it is the responsibility of the applicant to plan efficient site visits, this could be more or less than estimated depending on the efficiency of scheduling and coordination, we will negotiate a day rate for scope increase or unforeseen circumstances.
