Tired of the Singer-Songwriter Open Mic scene at bars and restaurants where you are playing over the clanking of dishes, television, loud conversations and many not even paying attention? Folks, there is a solution to this. Come out to Jeweled Universe. It is the only true listening room venue in the area with a stage, piano, sound system and attentive appreciative audience. It happens every Thursday night at 7:30. You should arrive bt 7:15 and plan if you can on staying for the duration until 10:PM. The venue is in the back of a rather nice artsy - type of store at 1017 Mission Street in beautiful downtown South Pasadena, close to the 110. Bring your guitar or just yourself if you are a piano player. We encourage folk, blues, jazz and yes, classical performers are indeed welcome! Tell em' Andy Kimbel sent you!
